Quick question
Do any of your radiologists insert NGs over a wire? and if so what tube do they use. I know this is not a common procedure but we have a consultant that would like to do this but we cant find an appropriate tube without shall we say modifying it. Kind Regards Linda

Hi Linda, we use flocare NGs here and they can be railroaded over a wire in radiology as they are open ended, they are also 110cm long so have been used for jejunal placement too

That’s interesting to know – thanks Micky. Sorry Linda – we don’t do NG placements over wire but NJ tubes we do!
