The British Journal of Nursing Awards 2018 took place on Friday 9th March 2018 at Shakespeare’s Underglobe in London. The glittering awards cermony, celebrated the very best in nursing and recognised those nominated across a number of categories.
Nutrition nurse of the year award, saw the largest number of enteries in 2018, with the final shortlist below
Nutrition Nurse of the Year
- Tracy Earley and the Lancashire Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust- 2nd Place
- Paula Edwards, Wrexham Maelor Hospital- 3rd Place
- Alison Young, Royal Liverpool University – WINNER
On the night, Alison Young, Consultant Nurse in Nutrition from Royal Liverpool and Broadgreen University Hospitals took home the prestigious award, with Tracy Earley coming second and Paula Edwards in third place. Alison received a winners engraved plaque along with a framed certificate, with the runners up receiving a framed certificates to recongise their contribution to nutrition nursing.
