|Dear forum member,
The RCN Gastrointestinal Nursing Forum committee would like to invite you to our first Gastrointestinal Nurses Day conference, which forms part of the UKDDF conference on 17 June 2012. For the first time in the United Kingdom this conference brings together senior nurses working within the diverse fields of gastrointestinal, liver and pancreatic nursing. We have devised a full programme of hot topical issues, which we feel will benefit RCN members, crossing many of the speciality boundaries, allowing us to learn from one another, sharing good practice, it will also allow us to take time to evaluate where nursing is in the current political arena with speakers from many diverse backgrounds finding common ground for all of us working in the clinical arena. Your registration also means you can attend any of the sessions with nurse speakers presenting at some of the medical sessions too this is a unique time for the nurses to participate at the UKDDF 2012.The presentations include:
- Specialist and Advanced Practice – whether to regulate?
- An update on the National Cancer Strategy – Bowel cancer screening programme – its impact on cancer detection and survival.
- Commissioning GI Services – how to quality assure services.
- The patient voice – listening and hearing, are they the same?
